    Description

    This is a new old stock condition Coherent 200 Stabilized HeNe laser
    . This laser sat on the shelf since new as it failed to light when powered. Jusr repaired by Sam Goldwasser at Sam's Laser FAQ. Ballast resistor was shorted. The laser tube has almost no use. The laser outputs 1.02 mW single frequency (SLM) with the attenuator in place....the most possible by the label-like new!  Would output 1.25 mW or more with attenuator removed. The attenuator is a neutral density filter with ~52% transmission designed to keep the laser under 1 mW and to reduce the intensity of any accidental retro reflections. The attenuator may be removed for 1.25 mW output. The output is single frequency with almost unlimited coherence length and very stable with good TEM 00 mode. Sam Goldwasser tested the laser tube to be like new, over 3 mW with full lifetime remaining. The 5th picture shows the laser output on a 1.5 GHz FSR scanning interferometer (see my other listings).
